Salalah Oman: The green Jewel of Oman

Governorate of Dhofar in southern Oman is home to the capital and largest city, Salalah Oman. It has a population of roughly 197,169 in 2009. Located in the As the Khareef season approaches, visitors to Oman's Dhofar region are coming to Salalah to take advantage of the city's cool atmosphere. Transportation

Salalah Airport is approximately 5.5 kilometers from the city center, accessible by Ittin Road from both the east and west sides of the city. The airport terminal is home to six major airlines and a number of charter aircraft. Air Arabia, Qatar Airways, Oman Air, and SalamAir are just a few of the carriers that use the airport as a hub. Road transportation is available to and from the new Salalah Airport. You can book the trip on their website, mwasalat.om. Taxis are another popular way to get around Salalah. Most of the time, prices range from half a Rial to two Rials, depending on how far the destination is. Taxis are orange and white and offer semi-personal transportation in the form of both individual hire and the same.
